Looking at sport quads

LTZ is the way to go, especially the 09. EXs are nice too though. they are bullet-proof.

the banshee and the trx 250r are completely different quads. its hard to even compare the two because they are built with completely different purposes in-mind. i assume you mean when modded it is faster than a 250r? i agree with you on that but aside from that, the 250r is the better machine.

wrong. a 400ex will kill a z400. there slow as hell.

400ex is the most reliabile overall quad you can buy. great for the trails. boonie dumps. hillclimbs and racing. and i forgot wheelies.

plus the new ones have reverse. ride red brother. Honda the only way.

i love my 400ex.

yfz450’s are nuts there nice and race ready bbut alot of oldr guys are selling them because there too wicked and fast. you gotta have some experiance under your belt for one of those not for beginners.

250r 's were made for racing and jumping

banshees were built for drag racing sand dunes and hill climbs.

not jumping there too long and heavy.

^^^^^ now that is amusing

A stock z400 will beat a 400ex… U are right on the 400ex being the best all around quad but speed wise the z400 is faster

I had a 2003 400ex that was fully built …

Greg (2.4neon) can vouch for how nice it was …

It ran great, and took anything you could throw at it. But Gregs z400 (although far from stock) flat out fuckin’ rips!

Yeah mikes quad was bad ass no doubt about that… An i got a ltr450 mike not a z400 lol… honest mistake buddy…

I went riding with about 20 people the other week. It sucked waiting for the “sport” quads to get pulled out of every little mudhole or little hill we came across. 4x4 quad>sport quad

get a new grizzly 700

Ill stick with my (SPORT) quad…

they are cool is you have a track or perfect trails or live in cali with the sand dunes. In Pittsburgh with all the hills and rain and mud, you’re better off with something that can go for 20 minutes and not get stuck. IMO

I spent the weekend after Christmas down in Pismo (dunes out here in CA) w/ a friend and rode his YFZ 450 a lot. I gotta say, that thing is just flat out baaaaaad. It’s a '05, +3mm crank, 14.8:1 piston, little bit of head porting (stock cams though), jetted/tuned w/ a wideband, full exhaust, blah blah. It rips! It’s also rocking +2/1 arms up front, a +2 axle, and remote reservoir, triple adjustable Fox shocks. It’s crazy-good over the whoops if you get your weight back and have the balls to just pin it.

watch the gncc’s on racer tv … they race on nothing near perfect trails and produce way way faster lap times than the 4x4 classes.
