They can be had for 15k homie. There’s a bunch out there.
a lancer evolution is an evo. he VIII and IX are just the years. The VIII switched to the IX march 05 and the IX April 05 to 08. the X is the newest body style.
I’ve found a few, but of course nothing local again… lol. It HAS to be 2004 or newer or else the bank is going to make me cut it down to 48mo and it will be a higher interest rate.
So if anyone wants to keep an eye out for an Evo now too, feel free… lol.
Anyone know of any active Evo forums? I’m trying to find one to help in my search but everything I’ve found have cars that were listed in 2009 and 2010… lol.
hold on for link overload

Brew… for some reason my registration hasn’t gone through (won’t let me pm or contact) can you send a pm for me on that first one and have him email me at kenlarowe@nycap.rr.com???
Thanks
the first one is the best one of those.
1 owner, and old man owned. Tarmac Black is sick, and it has Good mods, nothing cheesy on it
^ agreed. The ONLY thing I see “wrong” with it is a stock Evo clutch on 339AWHP. It’ll go if the car get’s driven hard.
Copied/Pasted so you can see now VS waiting for EvoM reg to complete:
Year- 2005
Model- Evolution 8 Gsr
1 owner car
Clean title in hand. Car is paid off.
56xxx miles
All fluids (Oil/Drivetrain) changed on time
<5k on continental conti pro all seasons
Ive been on this site quite the time and feel the price
15,500 obo. Im very open as long as your offers are reasonable
PM me with any questions/concerns
*Issues- Basically the exterior of the car. I give it an honest 7/10. Has the usual rock chips and small scratches in certain areas but they are not that noticeable unless you take a hard look around the car. Black cars are hard to maintain and i did my best. Its a detail away from being in super condition. Also it was backed up into and put a small dent in the drivers side door/fender. It’s barely noticeable. I have included a picture (Picture 3). The drivers side headlight bracket is cracked but does not affect the alignment of the lights. They are perfectly level.
*Mechanically the car is awesome. I put around 10,000 miles on it every year since i bought it in 2005. Put all the mods on at one time when it hit around 30000 miles. It is a daily/weekend car. Im selling because i have 2 kids in college and i could really use the money. I love this car to death but i have other priorities that a 50 year old needs to take care of.
*Mods
339whp/365wtq (stock clutch still holding strong)
Buschur Cone Filter
Hallman MBC (24psi)
Full 3" Turboback exhaust
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
GSC S2 Cams/Springs/Retainers
EPM o2 dump
Project Mu Brake Pads
Viper alarm
6k HIDs
35% tints all around with lifetime warranty
It was weird. I was able to see them I just couldn’t respond to anything. But I just got the activation email this morning so I’m going to contact him today and hopefully look at it this weekend if all goes well.
That black one just needs a good detail and she will look brandy new, go for it man!
fuuuu detailing black cars
So i’m guessing if I get it you will not want to detail it??? lol. I’ll probably get the door/fender fixed first then worry about the detail (if I get it)
na ill hook you up homie!!
i’d 100% go for the second one if its in your price range
mr’s suck ass
why just because of the tranny? throw a shep 5spd and an exedy twin
or just drive it, the trannies hold up just fine with light abuse
Yeah the 6spd is great if you like hittin the twisties. Just don’t lauch the shit out of it or it will break eventually.
Anyone know if this is someone on here?

Trying to get an idea of the workmanship and quality. I am trying like hell to find an evo but its like finding a needle in the haystack so if I happen to come across a well built and hopefully reliable STI i’m willing to keep that option open.
