Looking For A New Truck - What do ya think?

must be 4x4
must be able to pull 5000 lbs. ( car trailer )

I dont want anything to old, but i dont want to buy 2007/2008.

I would like to find a V6 truck thats not weak as hell and i could still pull loaded trailers. But I dont know the market that well to find one.

If no V6 will be able to do what i want, then i have no problem staying with a V8

Must be gas

seating - would like to fit more than just the front seat, but not top priority.

i like the 99-00 f150 lightning body style, flareside,…

Post up what you guys think, and if so get specs and pics.

i just bought a brand new titan and i love it. it’s a 2006 and nissan was throwing all kinds of incentives at me to clear the 06s out for 07s. 31k truck for under 25k.

I am going to recommend what I always recommend when someone ask about a tow vehicle.

A full sized van.

And yes you can find one that is 4X4.

Not many V6 trucks are going to tow 5000 lbs well. You’ll find some rated for it, but you’ll be up near the top of their tow ratings, not leaving much room for passengers or cargo.

also on the top end of there towing range your going to go through gas like water.

1 ton Chevy G20 van, or an Express, i dont think the g20s had 4x4, but the expresses do

GMC safari… CHevy astro… awd capable

thanks will, ill have to search around on the site.

I DONT WANT A VAN. THATS STUPID AS HELL. I HAVE A FULL SIZE BRONCO NOW.

I’d have someone you know with a dealers license take a look around for you. Alot of times you can get something pretty damn nice for chiep. My dad’s friend from church has his dealer’s license and got a really nice Chevy 2500 4x4 for like 10k.

this is more of what i am looking at

i love my honda ridgeline. might not be your thing but figured i would throw it out there in case you hadnt thought of it. it really does everything i need it to. it towed my car to and from storage (3400+ trailer), plenty of room, and comfortable as all hell.

1500/2500 GM
1500/2500 Dodge
F150/F250 Ford

All will do the job. I’ve pulled a loaded 24’ enclosed trailer with my 05 z71 Silverado w/ 5.3 and it worked alright. I’ve also pulled that same trailer with my uncles 2500 Silverado w/ 6.0 and I could tell the difference. If your planning on doing alot of towing, or towing distances, you might want to consider a 3/4 ton.

not alot of towing. but when i need to i wanna make sure itll do the job.

my truck right now has no problems towing.

im willing to bet a v6 " full size " 4x4 S10 would be able too. i gotta read up on them more.

What about an Tundra or Tacoma?

Choda’s too cool for reliability, He needs something to work on now that his stang is running strong

Don’t pull your mustang with a V6 S10…

I have seen this a few times…Get a lightning use that to tow the mustang…then race the truck at the track…
