Looking for small business owners

hey… thats why i posted it here… for some feedback. I have no idea what im doing, I just go by the little i do know. didnt mean to start such an uproar… lol.

no uproar dude just basic facts about starting up racing… im only 19 but i pay for all my shit its fun, but no one really wants to sponsor a 4 banger that only races about once a month btwn 12-20 laps… and no one really wants to sponsor someone that doesnt already have a car built

With the economy the way it is right now finding a small business thats willing to spend $1200 to put their name on a car might be tough.

They wont have as much luck getting customers from a circle track race as they would an ad in the paper or on tv so they might not risk spending that kind of money at this time.

Your best bet would be to try repair shops and junkyards in the area. They might want to help you with parts and repairs instead of spending so much on a sponsorship though.

Doesnt Albany-Saratoga run 4 cylinder street stocks every Friday?

Glenridge runs them too I believe.

what kinda car u looking to get… at the valley sunfires dominated so does todd goldstein in his acura cl? i believe it is but its got a k series in it… i just have a SOHC ex civic its slow but i have fun

yea they do… glenridge is more of a fun track that albany-saratoga IMO… ive raced at all the local tracks and i seem to go back to the valley the most… but not having a job at the moment kinda puts a burden on being able to run

Neons are pretty good from what Ive seen. I know a guy that wins at A-S quite a bit with an older Neon.

Get one with a DOHC and 5 speed.

I only went to Glenridge for a demo derby but it sure seems like an outlaw hillbilly place.

Theres also Fonda.

yea neons kick ass when u weld the diff… just dont get caught

You’d be suprised what people spend on advertising every year. In the business world $1,200 isn’t a lot of money for marketing. They may take a 2nd look given this economy how it should be spent to market their business.

$1200 is peanuts for any profitable small business.

What you need to do is make it easy for them to say yes. They dont care one bit about your racing, they want to know how much exposure they will get for their dollar on your car and why spending $1200 with you is better than $1200 doing something else.

Sincerely,
-Has done what you’re trying to do AND works in advertising

I have mad sponsors

Parental units don’t count brah

haha j/k

To OP: Give the sponsor a reason to back you. Doing anything else is like asking money to fall out of a tree, for real…

:rofl owneddddd!!! + rep

99% of people who race do not make money in fact they are lucky if they break even and 90% probably dont do that. Sounds like you are looking to get paid to have fun and unfortunatly its not gonna happen. Good luck though. gotta pay to play…
