Whom should I contact here that would install this unit for a good price?
Unit is brand new, install will be on a 2001 s-10
I have manual locks and windows, automatic transmission
Also, already have the passlock bypass.

Its really not that hard to install. Try to do it yourself.
Just follow instructions and youll be alright.
Check out http://www.the12volt.com/ or http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiringsearch.asp for your cars wiring info
Im installing the same unit in my accord tonight… Mines 5sp though
Good Luck!
Just so you know you don’t need that passlock bypass unit. I’d have to look up what wires it is again but you can put a resistor inline and it will bypass the passlock and only cost you 10 cents.
PM bdr5oh
why not do it right the first time. Resistor seems pretty half ass for something that could leave you stranded
resistor is a no-no… a local place that will go un-mentioned(darryls) charged my brother 70 bucks for the bypass and less than a month later his car wouldn’t start at all. My father traced it to a blown resistor that the above mentioned installer used instead of the bypass.
I know I “can” install it, but all those wires are daunting and if someone can do it for the right price it’s something I’d rather hire out.
oh ok… ^^^
I hear that dude bdr5 knows his shit… Pm him.
Im working on mine now. Just got done braiding all the wires for a clean look.
Should be done in a couple hours.
let me know how it turns out.
I finished it in about 4 hours Not bad for a rookie.
Wires and all came out clean. Only problem i had, was trying to bypass the clutch switch for the system to start…couldnt get it to work without jumping/bypassing the plug. I then found out that the STATUS (cn2) pin 2 wire was needed for the clutch switch to see ground when remote starter activates… I hooked it up and wualaaaaaaaaa… lol
Love the unit. Easy to install and everything works perfect
u still have the turbo timer then?
if bdr5oh can’t help you out. Seriously, just go to daryl’s on union. I know a chunk of the guys there. Good work and I’m sure it’ll be relatively cheap. However, good luck getting an appointment booked seeing as they are probably jammed packed by now.
Darryl’s wants like 110 bucks… i’ll do it myself for that much…
Estorvito, did you use quick splices for everything? how was programming everything?
’
$110? ouch!
I always use quick spices. A lot easier than cutting/taping <–spl? wires together. I didnt have to program anything… Just wired it up and GO! Just played with feautures to see how everything worked.
LOve the turbo timer thingy… Perfect for boosted cars.
But ur accord is not boosted
Anyone who says the resistor is the cheap way out maybe sometime you should open up one of those magical $70 bypass boxes. I’ve used the resistors on ~300 cars when I used to work at the installation shop and had a problem with maybe 1-2 cars but it’s your car so do as you please. Good luck with your install.
I def. know someone who can do it cheaper then 110. PM me for his contact info
Also looking for remote car starters installers… I forgot who put my jeeps in…
if you guys need a installer, dont forget about Rainbow. They are a sponsor and BDR5oh Derrick is back there a few days a week.
a certain installation shop did a install with a resistor on my moms vue. it was sick how it turned her car in to a dome light flashing disco machine. The reason you don’t see it is what commen person brings there car to the alarm installer when it does not start? they bring it to the shop who tells them the alarm went bad and the shop charges them 150 bucks to remove it.
I highly rec derek. He fixed my girlfriends remote start and would not take payment. He also did my compustar 3 years ago in my old car and it worked flawless. He knows what he is doing and is the only one who will do my remote starts.
