damn id love that job but I dont have experience in that, I mean i worked retailf for over 5 years so I know what to do when it comes to that, hum
I used to do it occasionally at walmart, since I was in a high theft area.
Was more or less during busy times and when the regular LPs weren’t there.
I’d do it for the JB 
5 years of retail wouldn’t matter. Working customer service and working LP are two different stories.
Since you are the on and only LP for the store you do everything… Training, audits, plan of action, etc.

BUT for serious…
I had to stop employees from fighting each other, toss out plenty of perverted guys, toss a guy taking pics of little girls, deal with a bomb threat, domestics from some of the employee’s boyfriends, and random teens causing a ruckus just for kicks.
Being a massive store right by an entrance and the movies it’s a zoo on the weekends.

Ive been trying to get my friend to hire me for LP at HomeDepot, alas experience is a must.
How are you to aquire experience if everyone requires it!
start in inventory or something, and try to fill in for LP’s whenever possible?
Start at places that have bad LP departments. Places with high turnover are always looking for bodies; Burlington Coat Factor, A.J. Right, TJ MAXX.

I do that too 
I worked for them year round for almost two years. Now I just do the games and help out when they are in a pinch or have certain things that we can’t put some guys on. Hence why I am not at there that often anymore.
