So last night i was giving it pretty good and in 3rd gear i was at about 5500 and i look back and there was a ton of smoke coming out my exaust pipe. it continued threw 4th but stopped in 5. Now im burning oil but i dont think it could be that bad, any ideas. A friend behind me said it was like night coming out of my exaust.
Im going to replase my engine soon but for now, anyone know what it is.

this engine has 352000 on it, so its old
We need to know the colour of the smoke…typically & to sum up:
Blue = oil burn
Black = rich
White = coolant/head gasket etc.
I was told it was black but it looked white in my mirror.
If white smoke, I would bet a small leak is starting in the head gasket getting coolant in the cylinders somewhere. :? Could be a few things…check coolant level/condition, check engine bay for coolant/leaks/anything suspicious…and see if the white smoke problem is consistent. It’s not gonna be your fifth gear, it’s probably just smoking at a high RPM. If it is black smoke, you’re running rich (most likely) and that would be another ball game…
Take the car out a few times and tell us more. ie. How does it drive/accelerate/sound? Always smoke? Or only on heavy throttle/high RPM?
EDIT: Just saw your title…since it IS high RPM’s i’m guessing head gasket…anyone else have any ideas?
It drives fine and i have never noticed smoke before, accelerates as good as an engine with that many km is going to.
I dont really want to replace it yet. Any ideas
I would agree, obviously don’t go near the head gasket until you’re certain it’s the issue! 
Is it white or black smoke, and is it still smoking at (only at?) high RPM? (Or was it just the once?)

Nothing. Absolutly nothing after the car warmed up I couldnt get smoke, And i was shifting at close to red line.
Maybe since i hadnt had it that high on the rpm range it was just dirt cleaning out… maybe :? doubt it but its an idea
I wouldn’t worry about it for now then. Just keep an eye on everything and you’re good.
This wasn’t noticed right when you started the car in the cold was it? Because its normal to have that condensation steaming off early in the morning before it warms up.
No no no, i know that it smokes in the morning.

This sounds an awful lot like the last S13 I saw buy it.
Wish I had good news for you, but we never really figured it out.
Car would initially smoke a tiny bit on start up. Valve seals were replaced, smoke went away.
Then a lifter stuck … so new/used valvetrain and head went on.
Then the car started using a fair bit of oil.
Then when jumping on it hard, like a long run, it would start puking out a weird smoke. It was brownish/blackish/grey.
Shortly after that the motor blew. When we tore it apart, it turned out the cam had seized. From the best we could guess, oil passageways either got plugged, or the pump failed … but that wouldn’t really explain the smoke.
That was around 348,000 km …
