lowering link

What are some good lowering link brands? Difficulty of install? I know you gotta support the rear subframe. Then you gotta lower the front forks to and add a different kick stand. Whats the deal with lower seats. Haven’t seen any. any more info on those? Thanks

Lowering links are pretty easy to install, brand wise i’m pretty sure they are all the same. If you are looking to lower it to make it look better, it wont handle as good as it normally would.

+1, if you plan on taking turns like they are meant to me taken, don’t do it. Just one foot it when you have to stop.

^^What he said. How much do you need it lowered? What kind of bike? If you’re just a bit too short, shaving the seat might be a good option without sacrificing any handling.

Its not for me. Its kinda for a side job. Bike is a 07 r6 and used as a cruiser by a girl so knee dragging is out of the question. lol Whats the deal with shaving the seat?

Unless I am aware of something new, you shouldn’t have to shave anything?

Not too familiar with lowering links, but they’re a simple product. I would just go with a reputable store and order away…

You take off the seat cover, it’s usually stapled on, then get out your electric knife and shave away. The result is lower but less padding which could matter to her.

For that situation I would do the link…

Yea if it’s for a girl that doesn’t plan on riding too hard in the turns, just get the links. Easy to install, and if you need help let me know I’ve had to do them a few times.

A girl that has to shave her seat? That is gross… stop dating itallians
