LS1 guys come in....

and not sure as to what it dynos… with cam and full exhaust before FAST manifold (had an LS6 at the time) and through a 10 bolt it dynoed 419 rwhp… im thinking it must have some decent power, race weight is 3750 and i can get 117mph trap speeds out of it :slight_smile:

That cam sucks…its a old design…TSP doesn’t even suggest it anymore…

Their comparable cams make more mid range and more top end…

Yea and? and your leaving HP on the table and mid range on the table.

Def look at options and take HUGE heads/cam numbers from certain shops with a grain of salt…they spend tremendous time on the dyno and usually add hand porting and a lot of other tricks to their setups to gain the huge numbers.

And if you are researching take into account race weight when they post up track times…

AFR 205 or AFR 225 small bore if you want to shift the power band up and expand later, stroker or blower

well 117mph traps is more than a 12.0 in the 1/4
either keep working on your launches or look at your suspension set up because something dosent add up

How much is this good deal? If its -$800 freash ready to bolt on, with a good dual sping I can see myself running a set.
The only CNC ported gen3 GM head I’d pay more then 1K, would be from ET. A lot of guys don’t know they do this type work.
The only gen3 GM head I’d spend more then $1,300 into, would be hand ported form about 5 guys work that will really make the car faster for the money your spending. And even so it would be just for the fact that you can say you have “ported GM head on the car, nothing fancy” :snky: But the car will trap 130s NA
Don’t take this personal, but it sucks how many guys spend good money on a poor “performance” heads/cam bolt ons set up. A full bolt on car with your cam would make like 380-390 on our dyno, these heads you would only gain 20-25 wheel. No BS you read on LS1tech, I’d upgrade the cam if it was my car. NO TSP junk.

+1 on a street sweeper, it can put down 460+ tho a good ported GM head.
