Curtisbilt Corporation’s new, patented shaft rocker arm system for GM LSx engines provides the ultimate in valvetrain stability, yet is as easy to install and adjust as stock rockers. Each Curtisbilt Split-Shaft rocker/shaft assembly is mounted on a wide-base tower that bolts to the cylinder head using the original rocker arm bolt holes. The shafts of adjacent rockers interlock with each other through a unique tongue-and-groove connection. Valve lash or lifter preload adjustment is accomplished by rotating the tower, which eliminates the need to incorporate heavy and cumbersome adjustment hardware on the rocker itself. Curtisbilt Split-Shaft rockers also eliminate the need for guide plates. They fit under stock valve covers and are available with either 1.75:1 or 1.85:1 ratios.
