this time lets check out the exhaust.
Constructive critisism welcome.
looks good
would you port a pair of old school FE heads?
sure would.
Don’t let anyone fool you. All heads are pretty much the same. 2v, 4v, Mopar, chevy, ford, import. Air doesn’t care whom cast them. They’re all equally tricky.
sorry but not heads are the same. old school chevy arent the same as GenIII.
if you port one style head one way and another head the same way they wont work the same. once would probably be alot worse then it started off as
porting heads should be done with a flow bench. you cant have one cylinder flowing more air then the others.
i mean for an example you already ruined that head your working on by going thru it. . if all heads where the same then the GenIII casting wouldnt be junk now but its different so its junk now.
perfect example of a set of heads that a old school chevy guy ported. a set of 853 that flow less then a set of STOCK 243 castings
they arent hte same look at old school motors where they used 2.02/1.60s valves on little 350s. then you got some 427 LS1s only using 2.01 valves. so you cant compared yesterday to today
but best o luck
and dotn say ls1s are the same as a old motor
ls1, are just small block chevys in my book. Just easier to work on.
I thought I told you to do your homework before steppin. I’m not trying to stop you from making yourself look like an ass, but don’t ever think you can tell me whats up.
But I guess yesterdays air has different dynamics than that of today is what your sayin? yup. Thats right up there with your ground wire from a relocated battery all the way up to the engine compartment frame rail.
Keep it zipped quick, or the ownage will continue.
well i think that you need to bolt them up and put them in a car and run it. they look good. but looks can be deceiving. take them to a flow bench somewhere. and make sure they are flowing the same. you can polish them up pretty good. but dont you kinda want the intake side to have a little turbulance to get better atomization?
and really polished on the exhaust side to get the air the hell out of there. but they doo look good. now just make sure they are evenly matched.
Oh, there even. I did these bitches by hand. I know how much I took out of each.
That, and super polished intakes are just fine. You don’t want to have to rely on coarse ports to keep your fuel suspended. That and you have a 50 psi injector aimed at the back of the intake valve. Turbulance in the port is always a bad thing.
The car they are going on, had a baseline dyno run yesterday. His factory heads are off already, and I just got back from droping these off. Soo, for all the haters, keep diggin your holes. numbers are coming.
none of you are doing any good by this other then makeing everyone look like shit
clean up your post’s if you have beef keep it to pm…
and if you gonna ask for collective critism dont call them hates and get an attitude you asked for it…
like i said clan them up. andi will remove my post.
hey feel like doin a set of gtp heads? I’m gonna need some soon and it couldn’t hurt to have em ported a little.
ownage like a cam shaft installed wrong??? and you have no idea on the ground thing sorry, i mean how can you even think of comparing an LS1 to an old school motor. heres more ownage jeff’s torque wrench starts at 20ftlbs and you kept goin gto 25ftlbs
didnt you also torque them down before that like a old school?? thought so know your limits…just like that oil pan looked good but good good chance for the failure of the first motor

or like thinking a converter wil actually brake stall to 4k
