LT1 guys, got a question...

I’m reading more and more into these things as I get ready to swap in my 95 B-Body LT1 into my 87 S10 Blazer. I’ve read that the computer is set to turn on the fan(s) at 225 degrees and off at 215. Is this correct? That seems REALLY hot to me, a little too hot.

Would it be a problem for me to wire in an auxillary switch or somehow setup my own relays to it would kick on at 200 and off at 185?

probably…i had my ls1 fans wired up on there own wit relays

You can have the computer reprogrammed also.

prob the easiest way… but what i did was wired a manual switch in. it still would kick on at 225 (which does look/seem really high) but i could turn on the fans lower at like 190 and let them run until i got to cruising speed out on the highway

thats the second fan,it comes on then or when a/c is on.I think one comes on @ 195-200,EFI motors run hotter!

especially lt1’s. they run really hot
