exactly, the k never drops from it because its the same baseline
yes, it doen’t become an G26 which is found in the honda ritouli
Bolt-on turbos and replacing a crank is a bit different.
So, you can replace ANYTHING internal to the block and it still maintains the engine code? :confused
yes shawn
If I build my LS1, it doesnt make it into a LS2, LS6…so on.
I can put a LS6 intake on it, its still a LS1 with a LS6 intake…
Check out this cool Monte Carlo
ok to clear some things up…my car is a TPI 350, i ran 12’s on my $50 street tires, 125 shot, cut a 1.9 60’, has a cam, pistions, roller rockers, rods, ported and polished, 3200 stall, shift kit and 3.73 gears
right now… my L98 > the SS in the 1/4… 1/4 mile times are showing what’s really faster right now and the 13.6 that the SS went isn’t touching the 12.7 that my car ran. With sticky tires or DRs whatever you want to say…will help your ET not your trap, if anything your trap will go down.
I will be back at the track with a 150 hit, slicks, and a 3500 stall… 11’s for you LS1’ers to chase. :haha
formula 420? whats that doing on that car
The series of the motor does not change when it is built. Since the LS1’s name is not based on displacement or whatever, IMO it will always be an LS1 and have MAD low end torque
now your thinkin :thumb
K20s got it!
Ill have to come watch, id like to see it hit 11s. That was my goal this year, but the LT1 still is stock. Havent touched my other motor yet. Gotta get the damn trans problems out of the way first!
I got some 200hp jets if u want them! :banana
yah…the 01-02 F-bodys automatically came with the LS6 intake manifold…and its still a LS1 from the factory…
We are talking about engine internals not intakes. Try and keep up.
wtf you talking about…
look at post 183…thats what I was talking about.
hahaa word to that I wan an M3 or C43 amg probably C43 cuz i see them never
LS1 > K20 ??? :confused
12s bone stock
“MAD” low end torque
Neva@($@!
but if I swap in a stock K20 into a car that weighs 2000lbs then I’d run 12s and it’s still stock, right? :haha
I am having trouble seeing the car in this pic? Maybe someone could point it out to me :tong.
It’s a 800HP Monte Carlo.
I decided the best most practical way to spend my money was on somthing super reliable that will hold its value well so I’m gettin a new civic si
