sorry bud…I said I could get 1.8-1.9 60’s…however im not experienced enough at driving standard to do that on street tires.
:lol
Let me get this straight. The stock LS1 isn’t a LS1 and had a 125SHOT and gears? Must have some special package. :confused
its not even an ls1!!!
i feel ya :sad
iirc it is a 350 bored to 366 w/ all internals, cams, high stall tc, gears and he was spraying a 125 shot
Soo much fail in one thread. :lol
:angry2 :angry2 :angry2 :angry2
i’ll try once more when i get the mounts that i still didn’t order :wtf
i should be able to get a 106 outta her with a so so launch on 15 psi
stop bench racing PETE
106 is 12s territory with traction typically. I went 12.89 @ 106 with a 1.82 60’ many years ago.
No failing at all
LS1> any other motor fully built with nitrous
:runaway
if i had drag radials and wayyyy more practice at launching and an intercooler i think it would be pretty neat to hit 12’s just running off the w/g.
Fail = using non-LS1 cars with nitrous/cam/gears/other mods in a stock LS1 conversation
Are LS1 even LS1 after they are built? I say that with the assumption it’s not stock displacement?
LS means aluminum series motors…
My motor has a aluminum block and heads…building them up, boring them out etc. does NOT take away the LSx factor…unless you switch to a Iron block like what Jammer did.
I am ify about it. I mean, if you start replacing ALL the INTERNALS, it’s not really a LS1 anything. The same goes for my motor any motor for that matter.
lsx is a different style of engine, the way everything is configured is different from anyother small block, whether it be a 346 or a 454, its still an ls based engine
how do you figure?? As long as you dont replace the block, its still a LS motor?
its like taking a LS honda motor and building internals on it and putting a Vtech head on it…its still a LS motor, is it not? I mean, your not gonna call it a K20 from different internals and boring it out to a 2.0
theirs the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 and LS7…All have different internals, but the same block…there for, they stay a LSx motor.
It’s personal preference and I am on the fence to be honest. Not sure how I feel about block A with different compression/bore/rings/crank/etc… There must be a point where just the shell is block A and it’s not really Block A anymore.
its all an lsx because all parts a interchangle, the block is the came, it just has a different bore. If i bored out a small block i wouldnt call it something else other than a small block. If i put bigger turbos on a vr4, its still a twin turbo. Its all just lingo
yah…
for example…
if you take a 2jz-gte and build the internals…its still a 2jz…all the same factor.
well, if you do out a k20 to like a bore 4.76 x 16.653 stroke it ends up as a k26
