Mafia Machinez: Big Body discussion ITT.

I can’t recommend anything really. I ain’t balla enough for a 7-series.

I think every car you listed will turn into a nightmare approximately 2,250 miles after you buy.

Gotta be out cho mind to own any of those out of warranty.

To talk me out of an E39 M5, someone explained to me that just because the once-$60k car is now in the mid 20’s, does not mean that the cost of parts has depreciated to match.

I can only imagine its even worse with depreciated luxo-barges like those.

I honestly think you’ll be okay with Lexus or Infiniti. The Euro ones, not so sure about.

I got my M with 32kmi in May 2010 at Lia Infiniti. I’m now at 75k.

In that time, other than me doing normal maintenance (I’m a maintenance stickler - follow strict schedules that I setup), I’ve only had the following happen:

  1. When I bought it, I noticed my seat would move back and wheel would go up when I was leaving…BUT…it wouldn’t go back when I got back in the car. Had fixed under warranty obviously.

  2. I blew (not the car - but me because of something I did) a wheel bearing on my way home from FL. I stopped in Philly and umm…kind of went over a one lane bridge a little quick. May or may not have caught some air. I guess when I may or may not have landed, it did something to the driver side wheel bearing or whatever. Was fine prior to the bridge, noisy as hell after lol. In my defense, it was like 3am, I had been driving for like 15hrs, and it was the back country of Philly…so I didn’t know the roads and the bridge just jumped out at me. :rofl

Went to the dealer, they couldn’t separate the knuckle/hub/axle so they just replaced the entire thing for me.

That is the only two issues I’ve had with my car and I will admit that I’m an aggressive driver. All of my electronics (other than the seat), work fine. I haven’t spent anything on parts as I’m still under warranty till 88kmi. At this rate, and with how I maintain my car, it’ll be fine till at least 120kmi I’m guessing.

Bottom line is…take care of it, and it will take care of you.

Lexus will be fine out of warranty (still do your homework)…you’d have to be more drunk than me@GNR last Saturday to justify buying Euro of that age

Dibs on GMC.

Fuck a Crown Prick.
Mid 90’s Lincoln Town Car > *

I’ve done some serious reading on the LS, they seem to be very reliable and have very few problems if any. I guess 2007 was iffy on the LS460 due to it being the first year of a redesign. The 460L is an amazing car, the back seat is so awesome.

How many S8’s do you guys see?

I think you are correct on the nightmare. I would love to know what an average visit to the dealership for an S65 would cost.

:rofl
GMC stays.
This would replace the S2000 IF I did it.

Fu.

I’m about to buy a used one but all of them have the gay 4.8/4spd combo, which is… gay.

STS-V?

Fixed

While a powerful ass car…the STS-V isn’t even in the same ball park as these cars…not even a question. While I would buy another Infiniti (fully loaded) in a heart beat…the Lexus LS is by far the sexiest car on the planet as far as regular non-exotics go. What a car.

(in order of interior that I think is best)

Wish I could find my balls and pull the trigger on a sts-v

I dont like them. My grandmother had a '91 and a '97 and I never cared for them. The Grand Marquis my mom had as a rental was much better.

STS-V = Badass

I dunno man. I agree it’s a great car performance wise…but I wouldn’t call it a Mafia Machine based on it’s interior. Looks…American…to me :lol.

American interior = junk. Correction, American vehicles = junk.

:lol

I will admit they are getting better the last few years. There are a couple of American cars I’d consider…

Look for an SLT if you want one with a 5.3L or 6.2L, I don’t believe the 4.8L was an option on the SLT trim, just the SLE’s. To me the six-deuce was overkill, I almost bought another white Denali when I bought my truck but maybe next time.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re great cars and make unreal power but the STS-V to me looks close to the CTS-V in styling and I think I’d rather have more of a roller than a racer. The old fuck inside me could care less about going like hell anymore lololol.

The more I read and look at the Lexus LS the more I want one.

Well clearly the Lexus and Inifiti are CP getters. Gotta get dat dat dat

:lol @ this thread.

And yeah, LS is where it’s at man. If you can, get it!

And Red, yes, the LS and M interiors are perfect. Figures, they are both Japanese.
