Blah who needs to go to school for auto mechanic. Go intern at Hybrid connection, i’m sure they will take you one way or the other. You’ll probaly learn more over there than you’ll ever learn at the school. Anyways, i think ECC has some auto mechanic course you can take.
I went to MCC for the GM ASEP program. It was by far the best automotive learning experience other than hard knocks…however,…if you have a brain in your head I would recommend going to school to actually make money. Trust me on this one.
a lot of people that try mixing lifetime career with weekend hobbies end up becoming miserable real fast, you waste a lot of time in your life, and you grow to hate something you once loved…
keep car enthusiasm a hobby, and do something else as a life long career…
of course, i’m just making the assumption that you want to take this course as a way to persue working on cars as a career…if you wanna just further your knowledge in the area while you go to school, or have gone to school, for other professional training, then  to you
going into auto mechanics is deff not for everyone. ive been in and out of it for the past two years now, still deciding if i will go finish with my degree. First hand advice, being a mechanic is a big differencel from tooling on your own car, in your own time. I worked at a dealership and i hated it, hard.
Im not gonna sit here and try to telling you not to do it, but its a tough career to do for 40 years. Think it over long and hard.
But on the bright side, you get a two year degree in it and can keep goin to school to get a business degree. Just do what you want i guess.
i too have a degree from ECC in auto mechanics. i love working on cars, enjoyed every minute of it at school enjoy working on my own. I worked at basil chevy for 9 months and i can’t say i ever came home happy from work. so as shrives said it isn’t for everyone.
