before i installed the coilovers, someone played with the dampening settings… now i’m not sure what the stock dampening was originally set to…this is a problem because i heard u have to break them in …
So Am i supposed to let the coilovers break in at the dampening they were originally set to (which i have no idea, what they were), or just throw them on adjust them and drive …
I have these installed on my s13 hatch, and when i installed them i had made sure all four corners were dialed in at the same damping setting, then bolted them into the car. After ripping around for a little while, i would get out and change the settings around, either all the same, but different setting than they were installed at, or a little bit different in the front than the rear. So, I wouldnt worry about a “default” setting being all the same right out of the box before installing them, just make sure they are all set to the same when going for your first rip, then make the necessary changes from then on.
Well, I’m sure they would hold up to an instant beating, but I played it safe for the first few hundred kms by taking it easy and gradually working them in.
