aight guys i’m getting a nasty miss from my truck…SES light came on and was FLASHING for a min, so i went to advance and used the scantool it was say’n cyl#2 missfire detected , so i pulled the plug and changed it cuz it looked cooked…its better now but still missing just not as bad…its got a steady like miss thru out the whole RPM range…i was told it could be the valves got messed up & to maybe do a compression test on the cylinder or coil pack could have died…
any other ides for me to try today when i get out of work?
aight went and used my buddies snap-on scan tool on my lunch break and was doing the live reading …he said if it was the valve it would have a crazy idle and it idles fine …but i’m getting a couple of misses on other cylinders, he told me to throw a new set of plugs in, so i got some new plugs i’m gonna throw them in after work and see how she does then…
i have the irridiums in my car. 15k and no problems. is it missing at idle or only when driving. if it idles fine and misses when driving, could be a plug wire
