when can importers start getting the EVO III. I am seriously considering getting one as a family car since its 4dr and also to have fun.
I believe the EVO III came out in 94/95. EVO II came out in 93 iirc.

then you would be able to get an evo three in 2009 has to be 15 yrs old. But the R33 is out next year

Don’t bother scrutinizing the wording… TC officials will give you inconsistent answers… the guys on GTR Canada have discussed this to death…
EVERYONE thinks they have an angle and a loophole… really it’s not a loophole; they were just lucky…

what if you get the newer imports, store it somewhere… such as an S15… then wait until 15yrs have passed… from the year of its production, then register it and all that mumbo jumbo… what then?
Evo 3 is totally SICK…i drove this car back home…and i had it for over 10
years…my fam bought it brand new…i just LOVED that car!

ya i know it ranges from 1991, but the body of the 92 JDM GC8 looks like our 1999 GC8.
our 1991/1992 GC8 looks like total crap.

loophole. like the man said, it’s a risk to try and do it.
When the car passes through customs; you must declare what the car is for… you only get one opportunity to do this… so a parts car will forever be a parts car… even if you store it then wait for it to be legal…
There are tons of new cars that I wish I could import… Nismo 270R for example…
Our window for importing these cars may be limited… it’s not a scare tactic, changes will happen, and probably not for the better… if you’ve been thinking about getting a JDM car; get it while you can… most of the cars on my site are purchased because I WANT THEM FOR MYSELF!!! LOL!
