mmmmmm Canadian made multi-link ***new pics page 3***

well then… if these half circle ones will handle the load… i’ll be contacting you when i pick up and non-Hicas subframe

they will also work with non-hicas subframe.

the only thing you gain with a non-hicas subframe is that you can use a toe arm instead of a tie rod.

there really is no weight savings because you can remove the hicas rack from the hicas subframe anyways.

lead post is updated…

come and get it

Well people, I got a set of these off bing in december,
He shipped them out next day (thrusday), and i had them in my hands
Monday morning, Installed them on Jan 7 2006, And yes… im driving them in the winter, thru the salt and show, and there still in awsome condition, They make no noise when driving regularly, and the only time i ever heard anything from them was at high speed over a large pothole on the highway. Im putting some new shocks on in another month so ill take some pictures of them installed and of any ware on the parts. But there very well made, (i have the teflon coated ones), and thus far i would highly recommend them. And due to this im considering the rest of the multilink susspention parts. I also notice it helps when launching as theres less give in the rear end.

If anyone has questions about these parts let me know, and if ur in my area u can come check them out.

Later.

^^ What area is that?

Did you prep the joints with anti-seize or anything?

im in the oakville missisauga area

just thought i would show a pic of this… full set with the sick rod ends all boxed up heading out to Justin… thanks bro…

man i wish i had more intercooler boxes… i cant stop looking at this.

is it possible to get thses raw without the powdercoating?? im hooking up all my suspention peices pink.

if soo whats the price on them raw if possible?

wouldnt really be a price difference as the PC is built into my costs.

just scuff it and paint it.

Pricing has been adjusted

starting in a weeks time or so all arms will be accompanied by CNC machined aluminum rod end spacers

we have changed the thickness of the arms as well.

there will be 2 series’ of multi-link…

the Street-link series will be as laid out on the site and in this thread.

in a few more weeks i will be ready to release the Pro-link set up

the Pro-link setup will replace most of the steel hardware with Aluminum including Aluminum jam nuts on all arms.

the RUCA will be available with a CNC machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminum threaded lug adapter

the Pro-link arms will all come with extremely light-weight Aluminum rod ends equivalent in spec to the current rod ends except that they are beefier and have a load rating over 20,000lbs, are much lighter and are anodized in red.

i will have pictures shortly…

these arms are going to be fukking sick

what should we expect for pricing?

well now that i think about it i am going to drop the Street-link to $575 for a set, i wanna kep it under $600.

as for the Pro-link you can bet it wont be too much more, i will try to keep it under $700 for a full set.

i have some of the stuff here already.

the aluminum rod end spacers are wicked, so much lighter than steel

what i really like about the Aluminum rod ends is that they cannot corrode and that eliminates a major issue with these parts.

some people amy fear that aluminum is not strong enough, however this series of rod ends is beefed up to higher tolerances than their steel equivalents.

i have some aluminum rod ends here and everyone i show them to gets a little bit giddy…

i should be able to cut a few whole pounds out of the over all weight of a set for the pro-link versus the street-link

i’d like to point out that Battle Version, Peak Performance, SPL and Kazama are all in and around $1000 cdn for a set like this.

i also happen to use better rod ends than all of them.

sounds good. post up some pictures when you have them

Battle Version through PDM (cheapest because no brokerage)

http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/battleversion.html

$740 USD + shipping and one tax

Peak Performance through Enjuku

http://enjukuracing.com/

$750 USD + international shipping + brokerage + duty

JIC through Enjuku

$825 USD +++

SPL - http://www.splparts.com/

$660 USD +++

i use better rod ends, SPL uses 2 - piece QA1 rod ends that i used to offer before upgrading to the current rod ends

Kazama and Tanabe and Cusco and all that crap is not even close…

over priced, lower quality rod ends, nice finishes though… i cant beat them on that, but you cant source their components domesitcally if they bust

I was at Bings place the other night chilling, when he sucked me into helping him assemble the new shipment before buying him dinner… Don’t ask me, I owed him for … uh… something…

These new lines of arms are really good quality, the thread quality is top notch, the bars themselves are solid and nicely powdercoated. The hardware is very good stuff too, no corners are being cut here.

I can’t wait to get my set.

^^^

and pay full price too right?

I am placing a stocking order for the Pro-Link hardware this week…

All of the first sets of Pro-link coming are pre-sold to:

Greg - Automotion
Haig - DM / Automotion
(2) Jack in Alberta with a nutty silvia…

even when all these orders are filled the next batch is also already spoken for…lol…Sasha will also be running full Pro-Link

as a result, the lead times are a couple weeks right now and anyone who wants to get this stuff should do so as far in advance as possible.

I’m elso expecting a burst in demand when WOTW airs in May or June

Alright everyone, i have received the first batch of aluminum lug adapters and aluminum rod ends.

Here are some photos:

The aluminum rod ends are anodized red and are noticably lighter than the steel ones.

the specs on the aluminum rod ends are identical to the steel ones that are also pictured with the exception of a few things.

firstly and most obviously, they are made out of Aircraft grade aluminum and anodized. They are far and away the best aluminum rod end on earth.

Because they are aluminum they will never corrode which eliminates a major issue with these type of components

The load rating on these ones i have is 19,300 lbs, 1305 lbs more than the steel ones and the reaosn is because the aluminum rod ends are larger, they have increased cross sectional thickness for greater tensile strength. This is apparent from the following pics

http://bings.ca/images/alum%20vs%20steel2.JPG

as you can see the alumnum one is quite a bit bigger, and of course it has to be. this also means that at the same camber setting the aluminum rod end will have more thread inside the adapter, which is also a good thing.

you can see the CNC machines aluminum rod end spacers and the 6061 aircraft grade aluminum threaded lug adapters

i have more of the aluminum rod ends en route to me right now as well as aluminum jam nuts in LH and RH thread. the ones i have in these pics are zinc plated steel.

Traction arms

Are teh threads aluminum too? What about if they seize up and the threads get fucked once you apply more than 20 lb/ft of torque?
