seems like threads get off topic real fast here, I am guilty of this myself, would putting in a shout box or chat type interface up here help this shituation? It seems like popular threads just turn into random chat at times more often then not so what do you guys think?

I’m still amazed that thread hasn’t taken off like crazy.
Almost all forums I’ve seen with that feature were dead. Rspeed had much less posts in threads, same with a few others I can’t think of off the top of my head.
Quick ways to kill a forum:
- Too many sub-forums.
- Chatbox.
Chat box kills the forum.
Random Thoughts thread = Chat box.
This thread is now random.
