First impressions…very sharp car…great interior…kick ass fast heated seats.
Driving impressions…the aero with the 260hp 6spd auto does not keep up with my spirited pedal and the manual shift feature was awful and I would be very disappointed unless it learned your driving habits. But the car scoots along very nice.
But for mi madre…its a fine get around town car.
and a big  to checkpoint for the price, however their detail staff must be a jar of sea monkeys because ray charles could have cleaned the car better for delivery.
Saab was founded by 16 aircraft engineers. Their spirit lives on.
What they knew about training pilots inspired us to create the Saab Aero Academy, an exclusive two-day performance-driving program that’s offered at no extra charge* for customers who buy or lease select Saab performance models.
The interior and instrumentation is very nice in person. I was impressed with the placement of the functions and gauges. If you look at the GM lineup across the board…this is in the price range of a Caddy CTS.
The CTS interior is awful standard GM ABS no frills plastic everywhere.
The Aero has padded dash, door panels, much nicer seats IMO and a better ride.
It is definetly on par with BMW upon first impression. I may change that once I check it out for more than 5 min and a quick test drive.
The interior on them is not too bad, but I wouldn’t say Saab interiors have ever set a standard for anything even before GM times, someone correct me if I’m wrong. I like the new 9-3, pretty slick car, lot of power for the money (at least last year before everyone seems to have made the jump to the 300hp in the sports sedan segment.)
