It’s a car. Unless it’s something truly special it’s depreciating just as fast sitting in storage as the one out being driven all winter. If you’re that concerned get the $99 oil coating at Schmidt’s.

Not to go too OT, but my dad still clears the driveway in the winters with his 1980 Honda snowblower. Can’t knock the Honda reliability.

Exactly right there. Take me for a ride in a type R and I can guarantee my savings I won’t be impressed at all, let alone considering what the fucking thing costs being 10 years old.

underrated - fixed geared bikes. who needs to change gears when youre cruzin elmwood

Ugh, it’s not the changing gears part, I have no problem with 1 speeds, it the braking aspect. At least kids on fixed gears get hit by cars to teach them a lesson. So fucking overrated.

I can see it for high powered RWD cars. I never had a problem but I could see how some would find it unpleasant in the winter. Or x-factors, like softtop convertibles or cars with no heat or something. Other than that, sack up.

I didn’t spend thousands of dollars on coilovers and heim joint suspension links or driving to georgia to get a clean chassis to rust/ruin that shit by driving it in the winter

not to mention my dd 240 with new dunlop snows and an lsd gets stuck sometimes, would not want to try this with coilover ride height as well.

Overrated- BMW 3 series. Been humped by car rags for years now for shit that’s completely subjective, like “soul”, “spirit”, “x-factor.” I’ve been in many and they don’t do it for me. Any generation. The alternatives are typically faster and more luxurious, yet somehow it still comes out on top in comparison tests.

Underrated- Pontiac G8. GM puts out a great sport sedan, and it gets the ax after a little over the year because of branding issues. No matter how good it is, people still see it and associate it with 90’s grand ams because of the badge on the front, despite the fact that other than the GTO it really has nothing in common with any pontiac ever made.
