Motor Trend Test: New Sti

Numbers are more promising than the new Evo GSR in the 1/4, but we have not seen the new Evo MR’s numbers and thats a better comparo to the STi IMHO.

Damm the new STi is pricey

Jeller

39k… HOLY SHIT

damn that price is steep as fuck. crazyness

Is navagation standard, or do you have to get the 3,800 navi/bbs package to get it?

I like the old ones better. The new rears are “ass” ugly. But the performance seems to be there. So mabe it will grow on me.

Seems like a slow steering ratio. Anyone else think so?

Meh. I was exited about it a month ago, but the more I see it’s less and less exiting. Some angles it looks plain ugly, others it looks good. Handling seems to be similar to the 2006, even with the wider tires, which makes me think that it’s not the much better platform Subaru is trying to advertise. I’m still going to have to drive one to decide.

Shit!! I want it. I’ll take one in white with some vinyl on the tails.:stuck_out_tongue:

I just can’t figure out why they would those shit seats. The ones in my car have more side bolster on the seat bottom.

not so hawt

$39k? ROFL.

I’ll take a 335i thanks.

Christ thats ugly

legitimizing the $35,640 starting price.

Word^

The only options are a $2000 BBS package (foglights and forged multispoke wheels in place of standard five-spoke cast alloys) and a $3800 BBS/Navigation package. Loaded, the STI retails for $39,440, stiff for a Subaru but still a bargain next to the comparably equipped A3, which can crest $41,000

Seems by how its stated, that the Navi and BBS pack are a together package. :gay2:

everyone is forgetting the price of the new MR, 45K, seems like the sti is the better deal

I didnt know the MR was going to be that much more. The new evo is one ugly fucking car though. Looks like a riced out audi.

they both suck. RIP sti’s and evo’s

Anyone come across this page yet. As stated before, sure the performance is there, no question about that. When I have the money I hope I can find a decent 06 STI. 06 FTW

i thought the new evo mr was 35-36k???

I am pretty sure that the actual msrp has not been released yet. I will expect the MR to come in at about the 40K mark though also.
