I had my Canton valve cover modified a little to clear the rocker arms (yay!) but now it hits the alternator on the round part in the back where the shaft is held. It’s too much to grind off the alternator, and I’d rather not relocate it if possible. Would the alternator clear the hood if I made some type of bracket that rotated the alternator up maybe an inch and used a longer belt? The engine is on the stand and I don’t have a hood on so I can’t really tell.
Can any LT1 guys tell me how much room there is between the hood and the top of the alternator?
