OP, if youre looking for a cheaper route on a cowl, I made this with a universal cowl off summit racing on a friends cutlass, we cut a hole in the hood just the same as yours for the air cleaner to clear since his brodix intake was so tall. (the back of cowl is trimmed to match angle of windshield and has one support at back) right now he just has the whole hood in black.
It’s a full frame car so from what I understand that should do just fine…IF it hooks up I think my tranny will be next on the chopping block. It’s only rated for 600HP. lol
An anti-roll set up for the rear would be simplest & effective, or a fat drag race sway bar. Remove the front sway bar or disconnect it @ the track to let the front end come up & transfer weight onto the rear tire.
Yes there is a big sway bar in the back. I have tie downs for the front (I don’t know the technical name for them) to keep from having too much play in the front to keep the front end down…but I think I will be opening them up once I get to the track to allow more play and allow the front end to come up. I don’t want to touch anything though until I try it how it sits.
Methanol, Barry Grant 400 electric fuel pump, 10AN main feed line, 2 inline filters, one between tank and pump, and one between pump and regulator, Holley Vaccum regulated fuel pressure, 8AN lines to the carb.
Small update. Ended up going to big block front springs because my headers sat too low, and I kept blowing up flexplates from buying cheap ones…so I dished out some coin and got a good one and all seems to be going good. Stupid transmission tunnel has been a pain in the ass…but that’s almost done, then just need an alignment and she’ll be making some passes.
