Thought I recognized the neighbor’s house. What’s the story with that, house has been sitting like that for years all boarded up. Insurance scam?
I hate to speculate but it burned 7 years ago. Was put back together, at least the roof and 4 walls and then has sat for the past 5 years or so. I have offered to buy it but from what I am told there are multiple liens on it and it will probably end up for auction someday. I don’t like looking at it but I also don’t like neighbors so I am ok with it

There is a fence around the yard.
Not to be sticking my nose in. Even the fence itself has to meet certain pool safety criteria, as well as the gate closing and locking mechanisms. Not trying to piss you off, just an FYI.
The fence that was there met all the requirements. It has locking gates…well it did until it got destroyed to get a dumptruck back there. The new fence will be installed soon enough.
I know some towns requre you to have a fence around the pool itself…my town just requires 4 sides of the yard to be fenced in if you have an inground pool.
However, I am an American and if someone wants to trespass on my property and fall in my pool…well…'Merica! lol
On a more serious note…does anyone have experience with the composite fencing? Not the vinyl, but the composite wood like material? I had a deck built in TREX and it sucked in my opinion…the heat distorted some of the boards amongst other issues.
Yeah … my trex deck is kinda fucked … and blistering hot when the sun hits it

Backyard looks great. How do you like that cover and do you install/uninstall it yourself for the winter? I have one for my pool, but we had it professionally opened this year as part of our purchase agreement, so I didn’t get to see how it was taken on and off.
BDR…it is an awkward coincidence to say the least…however I don’t think I will be dragging this one around the yard and lighting it on fire…
I like the cover, I pay my guy an extra 50 to take it on off, he has a special tool, looks like a cheap jack handle. He puts the handle in the loop lock, sets it over the raised tab and slides it off and on to the tab…seems simple enough.
The thing I dislike about the cover is the pool sees sun all year which makes it gross upon opening as opposed to a vinyl cover. Plus the birds picked at it for some reason this year so I need to duct tape some spots or buy the repair kit.
Stay away from TREX. Built a deck for a customer, no problems. Built one for my buddy with exact same product and it turned a Cheetah pattern. DuPont wanted nothing to do with it. I switched to Certainteed on my last one. Beautiful product but deadly expensive.

Installed Sonos and B&W outdoor speakers…kicks ass but Sonos blows.
Put a deposit down on the new fence
Re-did 100% of the drainage since the last post which means the yard was entirely ripped up again…sigh
