My BMW keeps making my Valentine go off, anyway to bipass this?

so i just picked up the bmw yesterday and i plugged my valentine 1 in and from the time i plugged it in aalll the way home 3 hours from NJ it didnt stop going off… I tried it out in my rental car and its perfectly fine… Is there anything I can turn off in the BMW to make it work or am I fucked?

Valentines are just too sensitive sometimes…

its wierd bc i used lances passport and no offense to lance whos prolly gonna see this haha, but that thing SUCKS! It goes off soo randomly and constantly… My valentine might beep once here and there, but only went crazy when there really was a cop.

does it have blind spot or adaptive cruise control or something like that?

honestly dont even know all the options on the car yet haha, just drove it home and parked it.

if its mounted on the windshield, you could be too close to the satellite radio antenna
A friend of mine had a 08 m5 that did the same thing. If you moved the v1 to the top corner of the passenger side (near the visor), it would stop.

Def some electronic interference. V1’s pickup any type or radar/laser, which could be produced by any number of electronics found in newer bmws- check the forums

thanks man, ill try it higher up.

What passport does he have because I have the 9500ix and it doesn’t go off randomly… I have the escort live too things bad ass.

I think the 8500…

Idk maybe we can swap one day and try em out

NP, it should be at the top of the windshield anyway to increase range (according to v1/youtube etc). Im assuming you already have an appointment for tint-
I would ask if they can use ceramic film instead of metalized to make sure that doesn’t effect the radar also.

plus fuckin rep to you buddy, thanks! Mounted it above my rear view mirror and it doesnt go off! I REALLY didnt wanna have to get rid of it for a diff unit lol.

not a problem man, glad I could help
congrats on the new car btw

thanks
