My Build Thread LS1/FD Its Fast!

Yeah deff! I guess I should clarify why my hands hurt ha. Not from getting stabbed but from manhandling the damn line and fittings. I should have not tried so hard to get the one fitting in last night. Lesson learned for sure.

Actually it wont. I just called you! It is my cousins wedding on Sat. :frowning: I totally forgot. You are more then welcome to come here and wire it though haha.

Odd, the only other issues I had when assembling lines was getting 90* fittings to point in the directions I needed for the power steering, otherwise it was just tighten up the fitting on the line because the rest were straight fittings. I don’t remember having any issues getting the threads to start, but all my stuff was -6, I don’t know if the bigger stuff is harder to handle. I think I used all JEGS stuff.

Brilliantly, I never thought of wearing gloves as my fingers were being stabbed… facepalm.

Just say NO to scratched AN fittings.

For as many as I put together, these were a WISE investment. http://koultools.com/

I only messed with AN fittings once, for a turbo drain line. But I used a cutoff wheel to cut it (obviously pretty easy). Getting the hose onto the fitting was just BRUTALLY difficult to the point where I actually thought I had bought the wrong sizes. Eventually I got it put together, but holy fuck. I don’t envy anyone doing an entire fuel system. That’s for damn sure.

Except for the small trans filter, that’s all -12, and that’s about half of it. Fuel’s all -8, and there’s half a dozen others to the cooler, and oil thermostat and the dry sump lines. I learned a few ways NOT to do AN fittings.

I usually have no issues and do not scratch the fittings. I have the proper wrenches obv. Thanks for the “help” but I have assembled about 239074928745834674578346785734678345678534684736 fittings lol Deff not looking to improve or change any of my methods. Unless Zac wants to buy me some of them koultools! How much are they?

I did my entire fuel system in a few hrs.

The only ones that are scratched are ones that I got used from someone. Fitting are expensive so I deff do not turn down free ones!

I never took a pic like that of the fuel system I just made for this but it is 10 lines.
4 -6
4 -8
2 -10

$150 to go to -16, I needed -10 & -12, so I got the full set, the smaller set is $90. You’re welcome to them anytime, I lend them out quite a bit as I’m essentially done with them for the time being.

Only have I think one more line to make. A nice -12 oil drain. I like making -12 stuff. Its the small -4 type shit that I hate.

Goodridge -6 makes me hate butterflies and flowers.

Just saw that…I have no problem working away. I will get in touch with you tomorrow.

fixed!

Ah, my bad.

While you guys were dreaming of my package I went out and got some more work done. Installing a turbo this large alone was a huge pain in the balls. But I couldn’t wait!!!

WTF FORCED INDUCTIONS!

Fixed
