Luke and I are on a roll. Took a two day hiatus as mentioned. Will be at it all day Saturday. I really hope to roll around a lil this season maybe.
Still might be done before mine, lol.
I don’t think this statement expresses the seriousness of our will to finish this thing Saturday. We will not sleep in, eat, drink, or jerk off ALL day.
Man, this will be like a whole different kind of Saturday to me, that’s weird…

I think he is leaving Sunday. Which is why we are pushing so hard to get this thing wrapped up this weekend. Well the wiring at least then I can deal with the rest of the build.

Because right about when the MR2 is done, I’ll be starting the resurrection of my 'bird; at least that’s the plan if things go even 80% according to plan over the next 12 months.
Nice! I will be glad to see the bird come back to life too. I told Luke to just set me up a little living space and ill just live at his place while we marathon build his car haha. I think we can tackle it pretty quickly once this rx7 mess is all cleaned up
He’s got PLENTY of extra space at his place; and the combo basement shop and garage shop is perfect. Stuff that you can do inside in the warmth of the house and keep clean, and then the garage for fabrication/assembly.
I’ll tell you this whole thread has me dying to get the Bird back together… Funding and the arrival of my Son in 7 weeks prevent it. But next year (pending I can sell my house in buffalo) I can start the parts-collection process
Absolutely, I’m still game to trailer it out there once it comes time to start the madness.
I am actually leaving Sunday at 5:45 AM. So yeah it will be a fun filled day. I’m actually excited to get this thing on the ground.

I think once the major body work is done the rest of the build will be so simple it won’t even be funny. But, as of now I am not sure when that will start. Hopefully before Fall comes. I need my car painted and back in my hands by September.
Yea, your build will be simple till about October/November when the car comes off the road for winter and you get the “I want BOOST” bug. LOL.

Updates from during the week. Still a TON of work to go. I keep trying to smash through this thing but nothing goes smooth when you are at this level of custom. oof

Added a 6-rib pully next to the alt to get better belt wrap without power steering in place. Srry didnt take pics really
Installed turbo blanket, filled coolant, oil, clutch is bled, brakes are bled etc etc
Spent some time moving wires and fitting a lot of things away from possible high heat areas. I have a few suspect areas that might be a problem and obv expect some sorting to come. Look for some big updates tomorrow or sunday but then i am busy for a few weeks.
