What do you mean “let down”? Did you have to tweak the motor to the side a little bit to get it in there, then when it was put back into place it was touching?
Only reason I am asking is cause turbociv has some pretty tight shit in his car but didn’t seem worried at all that motor movement was going to allow anything to touch.
Yeah the motor had to be moved side to side to fit them in. The mounts are stiff and there wouldn’t be any worry about motor flex if the fitment where just “tight” however they sit right on the subframe haha
To get just one in I unbolted the motor, jacked it up, smashed in my floor, took off my coilpacks, took off my valve cover, took off two rocker arms, took out off all of the header studs.
Then once we installed everything it was basically resting on the subframe. Look under the hood of a cammed ls1 and you will see that the motor shakes a ton! Not something you can compare to turbocivs build.
i had no problems with my jtr longtubes–it sux to see the hinson ones don’t fit properly–really not surprised----
keep goin on it. well worth it.
got my fno1rc’s today…
talk to ya soon

Not even close. Over the last month a ton changed in the setup and well I basically had to pull the motor apart and suspension again! I think the interior will be the LAST thing done as I need to keep access to the wiring and such to make sure everything works. I am going to florida wed but next week it looks like I might finish up the suspension and exhaust. Then after we make new rad brackets and tq the crank pully it is good to go. I will try to have the car running and such by the end of the month. Then it is on to interior, tuning, and having choko fix the fenders I rolled haha Maybe it will be done by??? June?
