whats your mpg like in the e39?

I get around 16mpg about 85% city. When I drove cross country I was seeing 24-25avg.

Dash pulled again
Engine harness almost off. To begin repair and rewire from the swap portion.
Found these three ground on a bolt that was literally about to fall off. I am sure this could have been part of my issue. Who knows.
Back inside with the engine harness pulled through. Drained the coolant already and the motor is ready to be pulled. Will be out soon.
Looks like you guys made some progress…nice
Told you it was a quick disconnect car. This was about 3hrs of beer/work.
What’s the plan for the new harness?
I would like you to come take a look as I have a few options. I was going to keep this stuff as its like 90% ok and looks good. Redo all of the relay connections and put them in a insulated box to prevent any further possible accidents there. Repair a few wires that got semi-melted during “the short” then make sure it all goes together properly so I don’t have three loose grounds again. Then i want to track down the chassis ground on the FD x-21 connector as well because im almost positive it is bad. Also I would like to use that fancy looking loom shit and mount everything all pretty not just tossed under the damn carpet.
Shouldn’t be too bad I don’t think.

Luke once I have the motor out I would like me+you+schematic to go through what we can take out of the mazda harness as well. I might try to get someone on no rotors to make a writeup. I know sooooo much of that stuff is unnecessary. Then what is left I want tucked this time. Either brought in the cabin to a box or under the front bumper.

Damn floor was too slippery for me to stand on it and smoke em out. I was sad. Car looks dope though.
We should find a place to mount the ECU then extend the wires to reach as well. I can bring my soldering iron and lets do this shit right.
If you can’t get a write-up I am sure we can figure out 99% of what to eliminate. This weekend is out for me. But, we will need a good 8 hours to pull this off. We should pick a day and blast through this. Also, let’s get a plan going if you want me to shoot out so we can get wire, loom, connectors, etc…

It is deff turbo parts. Although a sweet set of HID bulbs came in for my M5 friday! haha
