It was. Just want to but something I feel is on a higher level. This is more about the build and end perfection of the car then it is about the speed/power. That is a bonus! Basically I have plenty of time and some free cash and want to build something amazing while I have said time and cash(aka before wife/kids/etc)
Also 10s is gay! Plus you have a uber high hp supra so im confused. Anyhow enjoy the build.
Maybe? I don’t know its a car that is going to be meticulously built with attention to every detail and happens to have a lot of power and will see the drag strip. I am not sure what you are trying to get at. If you want to label it a drag car sure. I am going turbo for better street manners though to be honest. As for a label though it should just be “what Andrew feels like building” because that is what it is. But yeah more of a drag car then anything else at this point. I do plan to street drive it a bunch though.

Also bill went 9.0 lol this is not going to see an et like that with a 6-sp and IRS in it. I have no immediate plans to ditch either. (in my head i do plan that eventually possibly if I can afford a 3rd car that still handles well so yes eventually this will prob be a drag car)
This is just a car that will be really sweet. That is what im building.
wow, i need to pay attention more. had no idea this car was getting boosted with a new motor. awesome. are you painting the engine bay the same color as the exterior? would be pretty clean that way, i hate when people just do the flat black engine bays.
on a side note, what came of your old t56? is that still laying around?
Actually your truck inspired me to shave the bay. I am not going to be to anal about making it smooth but im going to seal up most of the holes then paint it black with gold flake I think but not 100% yet. open to opinions though if you have any sweet ideas. I HATE the engine bay and it is the primary reason the motor came out which motivated me to do an entire new build.
Old T-56 is sold. I wanted to keep it as a spare but figured id use the money toward this build.

Why thank you. Fly me down we can slam that motor in there!

Old style heads is for the cost and this setup is more then I will need power wise already. Also don’t have any room for a taller intake. This longblock was not that expensive at all.(relative to other options I guess lol)
I am sure yours on the bottle will make similar power to mine. I just wanted the quietness and street manners of a big turbo/small cam car.
to be honest, every time ive seen the gold flake done with black, it dosent really look that great. im sure some love it, but ive never really been a fan. if it were me i would keep it the same as exterior color, and then all bracketry a semigloss black unless it is stainless or aluminum. you could always do a dark silver, charcoal, or gunmetal color for alot of the bracketry and such if the engine bay is going to be black as well. ive always liked alot of subtle and clean things more then flashy. oh and alot of polished aluminum stuff. (i know this may sound like im contradicting myself as my truck is pretty flashy, but i just like its factory color and i still kept it clean and have zero chrome on the truck. chrome looks cheap imo. dosent have that deep rich look of polished.)
I think gold with flake would be killer on your suspension and a gunmetal bay would rock. Maybe ghost in a “RX7” in black on the inner fender or something.
Red would clash in the bay but the axle housing could use a touch of disco.
screw the flake, this car is so evil and clean that you don’t need to try to make it look flashy, I’m sure the fact that most people are expecting 3 rotors when you pop the hood is enough.
yeah… and clean up the motor and let that be the thing that stands out… the other nice thing about being so color neutral is that you can put any color wheels on the car and they’ll look great even with the hood popped.
I am deff making the motor as clean as I can. All wires, relays, etc are all being relocated. Any wire coming through will be in that nice looking woven loom. All turbo parts will be coated. Should look nice.
