Still got no numbers, but the clutch was slipping due to the amount of power made.
It was a SPEC Stage 2.
Guess again how much HP I’m making.

SPEC II sliping…mmm…220 to the wheels 8)
hahahaaaaa what clutch are you running?
ACT HD-SS – I’m assuming it will suffer the same fate as your poor SPEC II
Because Paul uses his Dyno to tune, not to spit out bragging rights.

Sooooo how do you tune for more power??
Tuning Dynos use a braking system. Usually a water brake or if you’re a RICH tuning shop you can get an electric brake and the computer can simulate road courses etc.
The brake dyno is better for tuning because is puts load on the engine. makes it work at whatever rpm. Basically you can bog the engine down and tune it.
Interial dyno is more accurate for HP tests.
My guess is 285ish whp and 280ft/lbs
Thats a good guess man… are you in China now? Give me a call.
Exedy clutch next week… shooting for a bit over 300whp if possible!

Heh, are you actually suggesting he can’t tune for more power with his setup?
Cute
:thumleft:
Power is a function of optimum conditions. He can tell you if your car is running to its full potential or not. He’ll know whether or not your setup is making as much power as it can. At that point having a “number” to drop is kind of meaningless. And he can give very accurate power readings, with or without a graph.
He can still get torque numbers that are relative to each other and they are real time too so tuning for best minimum timing is very easy

Ohhh, so that’s why he never tunes peoples adjustable cam gears.
Why not, he can tune cam timing as well as ignition timing.
I don’t see your point.
Do you want to go and ask him yourself?
You seem to have second or third hand information I wouldn’t trust.
But if you want to sit down with him and put a direct question to him instead of muddying his name on a forum, I think that would probably clear a lot of things up.
I’m sure he’d rather have his business represented properly.
Its ok coming from ed though, since he siht talks everyone.
we all know how good paul is at tuning and above that how much of a NICE HELPFUL guy paul is. He will go out of his way to hel psomeone even if it means losing money.
For sure pauls a good guy, and is really good at tuning. I’m just saying his dyno doesn’t put out accurate numbers. There must be a reason he uses a different one for fine tuning.
