My cars hissing...

If your being serious… At really high RPMs your engine is going to be screaming, possible your just hearing the noise of the engine itself.

Your Headlight fluid is low.

check the gumption rods

i would make sure u switched from the summer air to the winter air, also check your muffler bearings and kanutin valve

:tif:
Its not kanutin… its KenUter

this thread sucks:bloated:

Alright, Im trying to be nice in here. I know a turbo is typically easy as hell to find in any car. This is why I asked if you guys second on the exhaust leak… Im not looking for 20 different people being A$$holes. I currently work on my blazer and many Humvees oversees. I have some basic mechanic and maintenance knowlege. I dont have much knowledge on turbos except that they are obvious to see directly in front of the engine, force more air into the engine causing it to burn more fuel meaning more power. Its spun up on the exhaust. with a twin turbo, one is typically larger than the other. the smaller is spun up, forcing air into the larger one increasing productivity and more power.

All I ask for is some real aswers, not the same smartass answers I gave customers when I used to sell tires along side the mechanic bay.

Im not here to prove anything, Im not here to impress anyone with any knowledge, just get some answers.

Thanks,
-Roger

why the fuck is this in the noobie corner anyways

Stop it with the turbo talk. It has nothing to do with… that reminds me, how about you tell us what year make & model your vehicle is and I guarantee you that ~140 people on this site can tell you whether or not the vehicle has a turbocharger.

with regard to your “problem” description, well… it is as hard diagnose something via the internet using your “noises” as it would be to diagnose a car that a woman brought in because it was making “a noise” also.

That being said: 85% exhaust leak / 15% vac leak - i sincerely doubt its a vac leak because it’d have to be a major one to make that much noise, and a major one would cause drivibility problems. Now, I’m still giving the vac leak a chance because I completely believe that you may well have “forgot” to mention that the car stumbles & drives like shit because you couldn’t think of a cool thing to compare it to.

:fyi: if you act like a pompous moron you will not only not get help, you will not last long here at all.

By the way, I’d love to see you try to find a turbo on a turbo dodge, a subaru, or a slaab.

It deeply saddens me that you “work on humvees overseas”, in my opinion soldiers deserve a fuck of alot better tech then you appear to be.

Welcome to the site.

alright, thats about what I figured… exhaust leak that is… and I completely know what you mean about trying to describe something off a noise. But I think everyone has done it.

its a 93 Mitsubishi 3000GT. I have driven it for only a couple days. Me being on 2 week leave and all… But it seems the car has plenty of power and handles great.

I dont know if i irritated anyone on the site, but its kinda frustrating with people making comments like 2TurboZ or someone treating me like shit like Jagermeister did… whatever.

I think this thread is done, Exhaust leak sounds like the culprit, I’ll be checking it out to be sure. Thanks to those who did try to help a little.

awwww…booo fucking hoo.

See, that info would’ve helped alot 12 hours ago. The car sitting a long while (deployment) would’ve been a great hint.

Good luck with that.

i like how my post got deleted on how it was in the wrong section and then it mysteriously moved…

burning more fuel dosent create more power.
if that was the case, you could double your hp with a regulator and injectors.

:shithitfan:

fail

Thank you for your service but Wow,you might want to read the book “How to make friends and influence people”…A lot of people here are going to have some fun with ya, don’t get your camos in a bunch. Give as much info as possible, Read on/through the crap & you’ll find the info needed to help you solve your problem.

OVERSEAS>OVERSEES

Check something simple like a bad seal on your intake hose.

I like how he said “typically” about twin turbos and then described compound twin turbochargering, which is probably the less common form (now that I think about it I have no stats on the ratio of compound vs.parallel use in production, but it’s my guess that parallel is more common), not to mention that it has nothing to do with his question and he used poor english to try and display his immense car knowledge.

haha
