Im trying to figure out why my sounds like a turbo… but when I look under the hood or at the dash… theres no sign of a turbo…
It only sounds like this when it drops off from a high RPM when Im kinda pushing her (ie. foot to floor)
Silly you. The turbo is in the gas tank, not under the hood or dash.

Wait so it only hisses when you step on it or when the RPM’s drop?
I was stepping on my little hooptie on the 400 a few years back. It started making a sweet BOV kinda sounding hiss. Than I got a loud BOOM and my exhaust hit the ground. Come to find out the catalyst of the cat had shattered somehow. and cloged about 2 feet of the exhaust piping.
Just an idea.
You can only hear it when you ‘gun it’ and when the RPMs drop off you can hear it hiss like its a turbo.
btw… the snake car… I wouldnt be caught dead in that thing. I’d call a cab.
And I might be a noob… but not that new to cars… so nice try dumbass.
also, how else do you explain what kind of noise it makes other than it sounds like a turbo? exhaust leak was one guess I had… but I dont think thats the case.

In your first post you said that you looked under the hood for a turbo but could not find one. If you had a fucking clue about cars you would know within 3 seconds of opening any hood whether there was a turbo or not.
Hell, you would know even before opening the hood on just about any car.
Just go away now so you don’t drag down the Automotive IQ of this site anymore than it already is.
I would have to say its better too admit you dont know about cars than to lie and say you know your shit. Just an opinion
