Well I started putting the motor mounts on the LSx and there was a little hang up on the passenger side. There is a mounting bolt that won’t all the engine mount to sit properly. So I ground it off, lol.

I went to bolt up my valve covers and the rockers hit. 
I spent a ton of time researching what new covers to get. I was going to get some nice polished ones and relocate the coils, but then I thought about it for a second. Fuck, I’m a man I don’t need my engine to look pretty. I just want it to kick ass. So I ripped open my valve covers and clearanced the shit out of them. Don’t worry about the PCV I’m running dual catch cans and using the LS3 valley cover.

Covers all done. I hope to get new valve cover gaskets on the way home from work today so I can bolt them on.
High Temp Semi Gloss Paint. I was going to go with some crazy color but decided to go with the classic black. I think I’ll try to make everything in the engine bay a nice semi gloss black. The paint isn’t the smoothest, but I wasn’t really going for show quality, just a clean look.
I like the clean look.
I painted my valve covers a couple years ago with the same exact paint. Unfortunately it didn’t hold up to well even with 2 coats of clear.
I’m going to try VHT crinkle coat this time around like this.
I’ve seen the VHT crinkle coat and I like it a lot but I already had this so I used it. I didn’t put any clear on it though as I don’t have any high temp clear. If it gets crummy I’ll worry about that then I suppose. I’m definitely going with a black theme, I might try to use gold braided lines if I can find them.
