I probably mention not eating meat far less than most people talk about eating meat.
Most vegans are like most mac people. Probably because a lot of them are the same people. Props to newman if he’s different, but more of them need to be that way. Our beef with them (no pun intended) is we get it, you made a choice, it works for you, it’s different than mine, now stop trying to convince me why yours is right and everyone else is stupid.
That’s because meat is fucking delicious! :wiggle:
I live my life one steak at a time.
+1
A neighbor guy down the street from me that was at our new years party and his wife are all about the ethical treatment of animals and only speak of the worst case conditions. (he is an author of S&M sociology books too)
They are good people but hearing about how animals are tortured and maimed for 30 minutes can be irritating. I told my friend who was conveniently standing next to her, how I kill rats the that get into my garage and she stopped talking about animals at that point and moved on to how cool my dog is. (I’m up to ~13 or so if you count the babies)
I’ve never met a vegan/vegetarian who tried to convince me not to eat meat. I don’t know how you guys can make assumptions about “most vegans.” How many vegans do you even know?
I don’t know how many, and that’s the way it should be. Because the ones I know, that I’m not aware of, SHUT THE FUCK UP about it.
Kind of like liberals
:picard: :picard: :picard:
MMmmMMM you must love meat.
ill just get you a big ol sausage anyday!!! :touchy:
This thread got me wondering if the potato cakes I had at arby’s the other day were vegan.
They were.
But this led me to another discovery. Skittles, formerly containing gelatin, are now vegan.
I have not had a skittle in 8 years.
That’s gonna change tonight.
god i fucking love skittles.
I am gonna love me some tonight
Whose idea was it to mix skittles and ice cream? I remember getting that at Old Man River when I was kid- worst idea ever.
they got so hard.
So we can torture jellyfish and people/animals who are mentally deficient to the point that they don’t sense fear?
Again, we can torture and eat jellyfish were it more edible? Just wondering where the line would be on an animal as simple as that.
I can definitely vouch for this. I’ve met some of the whiny kinds of vegan, who preach to everyone. They usually don’t even stay vegan for more than like, six months. All the truly commited vegans I’ve met don’t mention a word until you notice them getting the sesame tofu at a chinese place.
Also, I wonder how vegans draw the line in terms of leather jackets, leather interiors, leather boots, etc.
I know newman’s interior is leather and he’s got some leather jackets.
The point is, I don’t have to feel guilty about drawing my line anywhere. I’m not imposing my diet on anyone else, so why do people find the need to try to find “flaws” in my thinking.
I never really got it. I’m not offended because you eat a steak, why does it bother you that I don’t?
For every ONE person that I ever suggested not eat meat, there are 500 who tell me to. Seems like the meat eaters whine more than the vegans.
Fact
Less then two minutes ago I told Newman how good steak was. Mmmmmmm steak.
lol @ not knowing why people are curious about a completely different lifestyle from their own.
all of a sudden I want some delicious fried tofu with orange saaaauce
It’s typically not a curiosity, it’s treated as an offense.
It’s like they don’t feel validated that they like it, because I don’t.
