My Honda project...

So a while back I bought 98 Red Ex’s car. Which is stock civic with decent paint and supposedly a blown motor. We never inspectated the car or motor we just attempted to get him a replacement motor. I say attempted because we recieved and turned away 5 bad motors. So instead of waiting any longer he decided to sell the car for $2000. I bought the car for my wife with the intentions of getting it together and her having a decent car for once. Right after I bought the car another deal fell into my lap, in the flavor of a low miles gsr swap. I now own my first honda and I’m doing my own honda swap.

The swap consists of converting the car from Automatic to Manual transmission and d16y8 vtec to b18c1.

I tried to start the car and found it had some rod knock.

honda’s are sweet jam. theyre like half the price to mod compared to vws, ive been in heavy research with a few peeps lately. fuuuucccckkkk i want a hatch…

A customer dropped the swap with the intentions of doing a swap on a 99 ex. He sold the car and still needed more money. I offered him $2000 when he originally was asking $4500. He took the cash and ran. I win.

am i the only one who dosnt think this is a good deal??? And whats up with all the msd crap???

I mean the swap looks good, and hopefully the person who built the motor knew what they were doing so it doesnt end up looking like the original d16z.

Also if i were you (assuming the header isnt a jdm r dc sports) i would chop off the collector and make it 2.5 if you wanna see decent gains.
