My job got terminated for not saying "hello"

It’s all relative. They throw 16 year old cashiers a bone with scholarships and a little extra pay on sundays, and they get publicity that raises their number of applicants greatly.

As long as the demand for your job is pretty high and your skills are not in short supply, you need to say hi to your boss.

As will most, but I still find it hard to believe we made it to #1.

So… what have you learned from this experience?

I’m sure they treat the lower echelon employees a little better than most places, but not much.

It’s probably a better place to work on the corporate or managerial level.

Forbes doesn’t exactly walk around and talk to bag boys, cart chasers and cashiers to get the facts…

I worked at Wegmans for 8 years and saw very few people get fired. That place was great to work at and I saw very few people get fired. To be honest I’m guessing you have an attitude problem and it wasn’t just “not saying hi” but what do I know. Move on and find something better I suppose.
