My Kitchen. 56k go pound salt.

:tif: Can’t really notice. Except if you look to the right of the back door you’ll see a step in the wall where the 2x4 frame starts. It’s pretty subtle, and I wasn’t about to rip up the rest of the wall, reframe the door, etc. It worked out really well because there used to be a pipe and an hvac duct running up through the middle of the cabinets, so this framed them in.

looks awesome Fry

“not a bad way to spend 10000 dollars”

My thought exactly. Well done James, thats beautiful!

Looks really good, almost like a Brushed metal for the cabinents.

looks nice!

now, brand new stainless appliances?

Nice color choice on the cabinets, it works with black and white apliances.

Block wall is so hit and miss, it’s solid, but a bitch to remodel. Looks good from the pictures!

X…

Just don’t look closely. :mamoru:

Nope. Next is $2k to get the chimney repaired :hang:, then some landscaping this spring and a few odds and ends. Then sell the place within a year or two.

looks good, ya need a black fridge

any idea how much money you saved by doing it yourself?

and IMO the next mod needs to be stainless appliances…would compliment the silver cabinets quite nicely…

By getting the cabinets myself at the Kraftmaid outlet I saved $10-15k. By doing it myself on top of that? Who knows. I didn’t do the countertop myself. It was $850 installed, under the table.

UNDER THE COUNTER

lol

sry it was funny

wait wait wait…you saved $10,000 to $15,000 by just buying the stuff yourself?

wtf how much do cabinets usually cost! there is not $20K worth of wood pictured there…that’s insane.

avg is like 17k for what he did there… yes they are that much

nice!!!

nice work! like the color of the new cabinets alot, nice touch

By going to Ohio with no guarantee of getting anything and getting really lucky. The Kraftmaid Outlet is like a lottery. My wife’s number was drawn first out of 300+ people so we got our choice of the ~10 sets that were available that day.

But, its less fun when you are not able to fall to your death and any mis step

what exactly does it mean to “pound salt”?
