it does barely run, it needs a tune badly, it cant even move under its own power for more than a few feet before it stalls

I have faith between Firehawk and Jays knowledge that the tuning will be done properly.
As for gears, im not putting money into my 10 bolt bc its just going to blow up. Im just going to dirve the car and enjoy it for the rest of the year. I miss driving it around with everyone. Next year a moser M9 with 4:10s and all the supporting suspension parts. This cam would love 4:30s or something higher but 4:10s are what will suit me best.
i got the cam from a guy off ls1tech. Was selling it and his car bc his wife was pregnant. I guess hes not doing too bad now though bc last time i talked to him he already had plans for a stroker with the vindicator, and is not selling his car. He said his buddy has one in his car and loves it so we will see what happens.
Vindicator is a great cam. I tuned one out here that ran 11.5 full weight cam only. I was impressed. 9" on slicks though.
Yea i know my 10 bolt wont cut it thats why im just saving the money for the M9, and a new set of MT et drag radials. I hope that mine performs liek that, or some where near. its nice to hear some positive feedback from someone who has some expirience with this cam.
What gears is he running? and where was the car shifitng at? Im guessing the car was an Auto? mine is a M6

It was a 4.10 gear 6-sp car on 27" QTP’s. We had the limiter at 7300 so im sure he was shifting close to 7k. These big cams need a good amount of timing and minimally a 4.10 gears. 3.73’s in 6-sp cars make me cry at night.
would you suggest a 4.10 gear for me (231/237 cam)?
Well it kinda depends on what tire size you are going to run, revs and if you want it to be better for bottle or NA.
I think 4.10 or 4.30’s and a 28" tire are the best setup when 6-sp guys are serious about getting down a track. I would not wast my time on a 3.73 26" tire setup to be honest.
For you go 4.10s and a 28" tire and you will be FLYING on a big shot and some weight reduction. Toss a 26" tire for NA runs although it will prob still run faster on a 28" tire in a 6-sp.
I wouldn’t suggest the 231/237 cam to anyone :lol:
It was TSPs hyped cam that sucked…TSP makes smaller cams that perform better.
