The turbo is currently not my main problem, but likely could have been the cause of it.

I did not expect this one to go so quickly. I mean cmon, DAY 3 of ownership on car that I meticulously researched before buying.
I have the garage lined up for this winter, a laundry list of things I WANTED to do, and I planned on purchasing a DD before snowfall.
Needless to say all my money will now be spent on getting this one back to good, so NO…no dd.

How much oil are you going through?
So, what diagnosis have you done so far? Do you know for sure the turbo is the problem? Even if you’re convinced that the turbo is the problem, I would strongly suggest buying a compression tester ($15-$30) and do the test. It should really only take a couple hours or so.

Compression test has been done. It’s a sore subject.

haha fp ftl, yea i went through 3 fps. i would go with a blouch and start building the motor
i blew my motor as well cylinder 4 had 65% leakdown, it happens and is common with these motors. get money, buy a blouch, and build the fucker

First, I did my research when buying this car. I talked to chino, to seller Mike, and innovative. All had good things to say. I did the compression test at innovative. All was good. I was happy.
THE ONLY THING that is throwing up a flag IMO is the story behind the fp green. Mike, did you buy this off steve2k knowing that the seal was bad?
Plus, this shit happens.
ABLSOLUTELY NO scamming was involved. The only thing thats bothering me is this turbo, because that is what most likely caused the detonation that cracked the ringland in cyl no 4.
Bad luck for me, and now i’m shelling serious cash into a car i JUST BOUGHT, and yes i’m frusterated… but I AM NOT POINTING FINGERS AT ANYONE… whoever is talking about scamming or whatnot…just stfu.
