My Managers are in the running for a Darwin Award *EPIC FAILURE*

So, every spring city workers come to my parking garage and use the fire hose system to clean it. Well today they come to pressurize the system to test it for this weekend, and APPARENTLY one of these 4" diameter pipes that carry 100psi of water pressure decide they don’t like their job and go kaplooey. It just so happens that said lazy pipe runs directly above the office.

Soooo now it’s raining in our office, there’s about a half inch of standing water…so I walk in…light are still on, computers still running, the lighting fixtures that have water running through them are flickering…so me being the rational employee that I am I naturally suggest we kill all power going to the office.

But nooooo they decide work is too important, and call our maintenance guy, a friend of mine to MOP UP THE WATER.

:headbang

Here’s a pic, please note the Fridge is still on, along with the lights that water is currently pooling in/running through:

The bafoon on the left is the guy that’s been commissioned in the suicide clean up effort.

Please note he’s still alive. For now.

lol i see the water coming off the ceiling by the light

Precisely the issue.

ITS EVEN COMING OUT OF THE LIVE PHONE/CAT5 NETWORK OUTLETS…THAT ARE STILL BEING USED BY LIVE COMPUTERS/PHONES

:idiots

how come none of their workstations shorted/fried yet?
not enough water? ;D

make sure u get zapped workers comp bitch!!! and lawsuit

I’m shocked (no pun intended) that everything is still running just fine…

benny tel him to iron his shirt, or atleast wash it after it comes out of a package… maybe when he gets zapped itll steam it for him

HAHA

he looks like a loony.

OSHA would have a field day at ur office, Benny :lol

Update:

All of the pipes have been repaired by the plumber, and here’s the clean up effort…vacuuming the 2" of water still on the roof:

This was my idea :rofl

Notice the shop vac suspended from it’s own extension cord, and the blatant disregard for ladder safety.

Seriously, an OSHA inspector would walk in and go :wtf

:wtf

hahahahahahaha

Thats almost as bad as using scissor jacks to take all your wheels off.

that extension cord is actually designed to bear loads up to 75lbs, says right on it, so technically the aspect of hanging the shop vac from it was well thought out.

:rofl

the company producing those is aware of the level of idiotism the nation, thats good
