Was visiting my son in Syracuse last weekend, (goes to S.U.) going from campus to my hotel & I notice this New Colbalt SS edging along side of me. I see he wants to race, I know it would kill my wifes Mazda 6 S so as I pull onto the expressway entrance pretty fast, he tries passing me on the outside shoulder of the expressway on ramp! I was in 3rd gear so I nailed it so he would have to work really hard to pass, well he must have gotten into the loose stones or just gone too fast cuz he got really sidways and had to back off. When we got onto the straight I backed off just before he flew by me.
Both my son & I just waived as him & his girlfriend blasted by.
My dad drives truck, and did something just like that. He was driving a 30 some foot box truck with a nice 350hp diesel empty. (Key thing is empty, I guess it had some balls) This kid in a neon tries blasting by him on the inside shoulder of a on ramp, so he hammers it. The kid couldn’t pass in time and a guard rail was coming up, so the kid cut it right into the truck! It was funny as hell because it messed the shit out of his roof line and did nothing to the truck. The kid called the cops, super pissed off swearing and yelling at my pops. When the cops showed up my dad told them what happened and they cut the kid two tickets.

Not saying I have never done it…but it has been a long time since I have played “chicken” and a vehicular manslaughter charge for being a douche bag just isnt something I would want to deal with.
Yeah, as I get older, I get wiser and my bad attitude starts to dwindle. I’ve had people (mostly kids) do that shit and I just let 98% of them go now, no need to cause/get into an accident or whatever you van think of. Better to just be annoyed for a couple minutes and go through the rest of my night instead of explaining to the cops/emts/ect what caused the accident (thinking of the best lie I can tell)

It’s not his dads fault that some punk kid wants to be some hot rod driver and do something illegal. If he did seriously injure himself in an accident the kid has himself to blame and nobody else.
