back on topic, man, that second set with the clutch might bring back my interest in GT4
i have a couple of games that use a clutch. GTR 2 is one of the better ones. ive been looking for a force feedback wheel for some time now that also has a clutch pedal…

I’m going to acquire GTR 2 one way or another.

I’ve been toying with the idea of reworking my DFP using a belt drive system (for the quite over the noisy gear driven wheels) and a much bigger motor, but the guy from Frex already has a prototype that looks great.
I never could get the hang of it w/ the wheels, always felt too “slow” for the reaction time GT3 / GT4 demands
Probably because you were using the wrong wheel. The DP Pro has excellent feedback and response. No other wheel I’ve ever used has come close.
i always thought there was a slow response, probably since my wheel was generic. i wonder if that gear box actually works through the gears

I remeber reading reviews on them, saying that it’s hard to get lap times that are as good as you would do on a controller… f that. once you get used to the feel of it/flow, it kicks ass :tup: so much better feedback IMO
pair that with the bumper or hood camera and you get the same sensations and if you were driving a real car… you know when the ass is sliding you/when you loose traction/ect… I <3 my wheel

I just wonder if the clutch is actually analog… or if it’s digital. It would be pretty tits though

Clutch is analog, and as soon as I have more space for my computer/driving setup I’m buying the G25.
GTR is pretty awesome, didn’t know GTR 2 was out. Looks like its available on torrents…

I haven’t played GT4 in a while, The gas pedal on my DFP acts up sometimes and I haven’t tried to fix it. I remember the wheel wasn’t centering right when I tried to use it in GTR too.
i would buy that if it was as responsive as a car, i bought one few months ago and it was soooo unresponsive
