I went to the dyno last night to get a baseline number. This is on a T25 at 14psi. I was running mid 12 afr’s but started leaning out to 12.8 above 6200rpm so i added about 5% just to be safe.
wow…
can’t wait to save up for my own sr…
but sry for the super noob question…
does baseline numbers means the hp and torque reading b4 dyno tune???
ya i didnt do any tuning at all on the dyno. I did street tune with my friends innovative motorsports wideband and tuned for mid 12 afr’s as best as i could.
Congrats man, car looks and sounds good.
Thanks for sharing…I still gotta get mine out to the dyno at some point.
Where’d ya go?
theres a dyno at mccowan and sheppard north east side of mccowan…beside ford…they do it cheap there…
So what did the mighty T25 put down?
looks good
hopefully i make the same hp at 10psi on my ka… but torque will be a lot more
are you just running turboback exhaust and fmic?
I saw a max HP of 242, with 231 ft/lbs torque in the vid, if that’s what you were meaning.
Go T25!
not bad, safc2 and stock injectors?
That’s pretty decent…
general Q:
with our cars which is better for dyno (more accurate) 3rd or 4th gear pull?
yup stock injectors/maf and safc2. 4th gear has a closer 1:1 ratio so you get a more accurate number, depends on the car tho some cars they do them in 3rd.
Mid 12 AFRs are pretty lean in my books, I would stick to mid 11s on pump gas. You can melt a piston at those lean AFRs.
Nice vid and good numbers.
4th gear is always the best gear to gauge accurate numbers on a dyno.
not at 250whp you cant.
you could run 13.7:1 all day long with a turbo that big and never really have any problems. to be hoenst its pretty hard to blow a motor with a T25.
300whp is the border where it becomes pretty easy to blow shit up

No shit. I stand corrected. I was always under the impression hp doesnt really matter AFRs are AFRs. Even with a turbo that small he is pushing 15psi so wouldnt it still be forcing a decent amount of air into the motor?
hmmm i always thought mid 12 afr’s were pretty safe.
When you start running mid 12 afr’s with a larger turbo and more boost your margin of saftey decreases exponentially.
Alex is running some reasonably tight afrs on his motor, but his margin of saftey is greater so he’s not really pushing the tune.
All the same, just goes to show you how well this motor is put together, and tells you even more about the dedication and pride the owner has in his vehicle.
