It’s just the stock kit right now with the comptech esm, nothing to worry about and air/fuel is reading perfect.
I’m going to get a map loaded on the stand alone when i pick that up and then get a final tune on the dyno when i shoot for more power. I’ll add the ID1000s this week though, but that’s not going to change anything with the stock ecu and esm
Saturday i spend pretty much the entire day working on the car. I keep getting a cel for the secondary o2 sensor so i bought a 90degree bend spacer from ebay and installed that, hopefully it works and the cel stops triggering or i’ll need to get a new one. The one in there now is off ebay and i paid i think 40 bucks so if it only worked for a year that’s still fine by me. Got to the shop and had an oil leak, the fitting return oil fitting on the bottom of my blower loosened up so i snugged that back up, didn’t lose very much oil thankfully, it much have started just as i pulled in there, but that’s fixed now. Also had my buddy weld on tabs for the heat exchanger and mounted that up perfectly square to the frame rails. It lines up perfect within the grill. I’m interested to see how many people think it’s an intercooler, i assume most people will…So i got the aftercooler all piped up and the pump wiring run, ran the wiring for my boost gauge and now i just need to wire that in, also painted that little whitish-yellow cap that fits to the fuel rail with plasti dip black to clean it up a little bit.
Sunday i installed my comptech airbox, it looks really good in there but it has a blemish on the carbon fiber above the hood prop so i think i’m going to decal it up and hide that mark. Not much else going on, i picked up a new front wheel bearing for the pass side i can hear going and will be putting that on this week with the new powder coated brakes and new pads. Not much else going on, hoping to get the brakes and wheel bearing on tonight if possible, i have to pick them up after work. I should also have the plug and play adapters for the ID1000s this week and i’m going to install those and wire tuck that harness under the intake manifold to clean it up a little bit.
So this morning i thought… i’m about the replace my brake calipers, clean up and paint the hub on my rotors and install new pads… Why am i not going with ss brake lines at this point. So yup, you guessed it, i ordered up a set of front and rear stoptech ss brake lines. Should have them in next week and then i’ll be getting these new brakes on the car. By coincidence, i also picked up a stainless steel clutch line from a guy in the classifieds section. Who knows when i’ll actually install that though, i’m not sure how to bleed the clutch so i’ll have to look into it.
This is turning out great. I didn’t read through everything…but did you install the kit yourself? I’ll be ordering the SOS kit next winter and wondering if you had any issues at all. I’ll probably just end up PMing you about everything else you got for it anyways lol.
Yeah i installed it myself, it’s very straight forward and simple, i’ll give you a hand when you get yours if you want. I have the crank pulley tool also
your car looks great!!! becareful putting the ID’s in before getting tuned, unless you know someone thats done it & not had problems. the car may not run well as the ecu still thinks its running on on 4x 310cc’s (I think) not 4x1000’s. without having the injectors scaled in the ecu you could be dumping a LOT of extra fuel in the cylinders
