my Xbox 360 crapped the bed

i went to go play some good ol NHL 08 on my 360 a little bit ago, and when i turn it on, all i experience is sound, but no video on my TV.

yes i did check to see if TV was selected on my audio cable and made sure it was plugged in correctly. i tried a different TV and the same thing happened. i read online you could reset the Video settings for the 360, so i tried that and no dice. there are no red rings flashing on the console either.

my 360 is flashed and has never given me any problems. when i played it 2 days ago, everything was fine, so i dont know what’s going on.

im gonna go somewhere and test out another audio/video cable to see if it’s just the cable, which i obviously hope is the problem.

i may end up trying the xclamp replacement and go to home depot and get all the shit for it.

anyone experience this and/or know a solution?? thanks

uh oh :frowning:

yea i tried it with another audio/video cable and still didnt work. still no video

video card demagnitized… happened to 05orangeSS

did he send it to microsoft or just buy a new 1?

With no red lights its probably not the cable, i believe one lights up if the video is bad, not sure which tho. Have you tried regular non HD cables? I have the parts if you want them, i did the x-clamp with my old 360 and it didn’t fix it, so you can have them if you want to give it a shot. LMK. Most likely if no other cables work its shot, theres a place i got mine from that repairs them for 100 bucks. http://www.360-pros.com/

bought a new one

im gonna try and search some more on google to see if there’s resolution, but so far i havent found anything reliable

yes mine did the same. i fixed it. would you like me to fix yours? pm me

doesn’t the microsoft warranty cover this?

no offense, but i don’t know if i’d trust a total stranger/lurker with my box.

(that’s what she said)

sucks its broken, iv been playing the shit out of madden 09, id be pissed if mine broke.

no the extended warentsonly covers the RRoD

what did you do to fix it?

no one reads up on a system before they buy them… 360’s have a horrible success rate. they crap out fast and often.

quiet down n00b, im sure everyone knows what can happen to the 360 before they go buy them.

its not that people don’t know, they just hope that they won’t be one of the ones that does fail

beat me to it
