N54 Bmw 335i wastegate/turbo rattles....

Actually they have $633 listed as the price and a $100 core fee http://www.trademotion.com/parts/2007/BMW/335I/?siteid=214672&vehicleid=1433813&diagram=1946225

Seems low?

Tischer has them for like 700

Next time i bring my car in ill have to ask Adam to have you work on my car too, if you don’t mind. Chris was telling us about your work over the weekend! Besides after what happened to my car last time it was there i’m not to thrilled to bring it back.

I don’t mind at all! Feel free to PM me. Also curious as to what happened at your last visit…

Those prices to seem quite low, I would call to verify.

Didnt the N54’s have a turbo related recall? Or was it the N55’s? I think I remember a 135i owner over on Mischief.tv having some kind of recall

Here is a possible solution to your issues that I came up with today. Hope this works for you guys.

Start off at Towne BMW Mini. Head West on Main street. At the intersection of Main and Transit- turn right and head North on Transit Rd/Route 78. Drive 1.1 miles on Transit. Immediately pull into 4891 Transit Road and buy anything on the lot-it will be better then a 335i as you are at Lia Honda. You can thank me later when you are in a reliable car that doesn’t suck.

No one said they were reliable…maybe I like working on stuff and troubleshooting problems, did you ever think of that? lol

I got new turbos under CPO as well. That was the “fix” for it. Honestly they still rattle a little, no big deal.

X…

Wow your a douche. Nice contribution to the post

I don’t drive a BMW so that logic is invalid. Also, you suck at English.

Quite the hobby.

Krants just a bitter fuck cause he has to fuck with cars all day everyday, most of us just do it for a strange idea of fun. He also mistakes paying more for something with it also being reliable too lol.

Krant and I are going to quit cars and take up gay sex, it’ll be less painful most days.

One of the best things I’ve ever read!

UPDATE. Warranty runs out in 20 some odd days from now.

Dropped it off for low coolant, complained about a check engine light, turbo rattle, brake fluid flush, brake clunk when changing directions, oil change, microfilters, etc.

All of the above was replaced and fixed sans the brake clunk which they attribute to the pads shifting within the bracket.

So, new turbos, oil change, flushed brake fluid, new micro filters, etc for 320 ish dollars. (under CPO)

I’m a happy guy and I suppose I’ll keep this car for a bit longer, heck, maybe I’ll even run procede finally.

Thanks Goff for the chat and help

EDIT: is there a recommended break in for these things ? or just drive it like normal?

:tup::tup::tup::tup::tup::tup::tup:

That’s awesome.

nice!

Normal procedure is wheelies on the 198. Since its 4 wheels and Florida, just drive 5 under the speed limit for a few months. Glad they took care of you Will.

So, when is this for sale so you can get that 328i you’ve been loving?

Nice  How many miles on the car now?

As for the brakes, I ended up putting a bent piece of metal to take up the space on the pad ears to stop the noise.
